Fraudlogix Differentiators

Largest Database of Captured Fraud in the Industry:

Our proprietary database is the largest database of captured fraudulent transactions in the affiliate marketing industry. Once data is verified as fraud, transactions are broken down to a granular level and “fraud profiles” are created based on heuristic analysis and the specific methods and tactics that the fraudsters used to steal commissions from the merchant. This data is then cross-checked against the client’s traffic for exact profile matches. Any transactional matches are assigned a point value and are passed for further analysis by the AUI module.

Anonymous User Identification: (AUI)

At the core of the fraudlogix system is a new technology called Anonymous User Identification or AUI. AUI enables advertisers and merchants to detect affiliate fraud attempts that bypass other systems like when fraudsters use real people’s information to enter leads, or when they use stolen credit cards that have yet to be reported stolen. AUI analyzes a multitude of data points per transaction (lead or sale) to detect affiliate fraud attacks based on user attributes.

Included Standard Checks

IP Geo Location:

IP geo location is used to determine the geographic location of the website visitor by identifying their IP address. Transactions are reviewed for high risk locations and inconsistencies between the IP geo data and the user inputted data.

Proxy Detection:

Proxy Detection is a valuable component for fraud detection applications because fraudsters can bypass geo location systems by using proxies to forge their IP address and location. While proxy detection is not as effective as it used to be due to recent sophistications on the fraudsters behalf, it should still be included as a component in any robust fraud detection system.
